Dear Parents,

I am writing with great sadness to inform you that on July 10, Gracie Seale, one of our 2025 graduates, passed away at her home. This is a very difficult time for the family, our school, and the community, and we ask that you keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Services for Gracelyn Faith Seale will be held at 2 PM, on Saturday, July 26, at Grimes Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

The secondary counseling office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30-3:30, for students, including 2025 graduates, who need support.  You can reach the counseling staff at 830-353-8129 or bnewcomb@cpisd.net.

Sincerely,
Cody Newcomb
Superintendent

Counseling Support

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

This is an extremely difficult time for our community and the communities surrounding us, and many families are experiencing profound suffering and grief as a result of this tragic event.  Even children who were not directly impacted by the recent floods may be suffering trauma because they have seen the destruction, the recovery efforts, and/or the news coverage.

To assist you in talking to your children about the recent disaster, I wanted to suggest a few resources designed specifically for parents and caregivers.

The CPISD counseling team is here to support you and your children.  Please contact the counseling team at 830-353-8129, bnewcomb@cpisd.net, or kschreckenbach@cpisd.net if we can provide additional support.
